RAF Kenton/Blakelaw
13 Group Bunker in Newcastle. 13 Group were responsible for the air defence of the entire north of the U.K. during WW2.
We will be posting more about the history of this base and how the whole 13 Group operations worked at a later date.
The bunker is closed to the public but plans are afoot to bring it back to its former glory and create a visitor attraction.
